Including Voices from Afar – Hawaiʻi in Stuttgart

This activity is situated in the context of an exhibition at Linden-Museum Stuttgart, which addresses the history, society and arts of Hawaiʻi. Native Hawaiian artists, cultural practitioners, curators and/or academics were invited to come to Stuttgart, creating the opportunity for an intensive and on-going conversation on participation and collaboration, ownership and responsibility, curatorial and educational practices.

Public artist talks, demonstrations and gallery tours and internal workshops with Maile Andrade (University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa), Kaliko Spenser (Kamakakūokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies at Mānoa) and Marques Marzan (Bishop Museum, Honolulu)

All lectures in English language. Including Voices from Afar – Hawaiʻi in Stuttgart takes place within the frame of SWICH and is co-funded by the creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
