During the residency, Jacqueline Hoàng Nguyễn will investigate the museum's photographic collections with a focus on how personal and institutional histories collide and create friction in the archive. The work process will be presented at several public events at the museum and in the digital channels of the National Museums of World Culture.

As one of the foremost qualities of Jacqueline Hoàng Nguyễn's proposal, the selection committee emphasised her considerable experience in including communities in the artistic process - skills that will enable understanding and engagement with the project.
