Lab Meeting in Stockholm

Experimental Exhibition

For the LAB Meeting "Experimental Exhibitions" a group of participants met on 28 February & 1 March, 2017 at Etnografiska museet and Östasiatiska museet in Stockholm.

The lab meeting in early 2017 dealt with innovative exhibition formats. The goal of the meeting was to engage in an in-depth discussion about concepts and experiences with novel and imaginative exhibition methods. In a playful way and under the mediation of Pernilla Glaser, the team opened up existing strategies to find experimental ways of exhibiting at museums.

In small focus groups a number of questions were discussed: What could be an iterative process for our project? How can we try out storytelling and artistic expressions? How can we try out modes of communication? How can we try out which information to use? How can we work with project versus empowerment? How can we work with dialogue around the concepts of “asking for help”, “creating exchange”, “understanding a context”?
